MST Services Inc acquires Orbis Partners Inc

December 4, 2019 - MST Services Inc has announced the acquisition of Orbis Partners Inc, (Orbis) or (the Company) which specializes in the design and implementation of evidence-based services for at-risk and high-risk client groups. The solutions include assessment, case work, training, research and evaluation, and are used by hundreds of jurisdictions across the United States, Canada and Internationally. Clients include governments and non-government organizations (NGOs), typically in the form of not for profit agencies, which represent a stable customer base with recurring revenue. Orbis was incorporated in 2001 with a goal to assess and provide services to agencies working with at-risk and high-risk clients. The Company offers a series of validated assessment tools and an evidence-based case planning model delivered through web-based software for criminal justice organizations. Separate solutions were developed for youth, adults and women and these are employed in 15 state-wide criminal justice jurisdictions and many county and NGO organizations. Orbis focuses on linking assessment to the function of case management. Orbis developed assessment and case management tools that help case managers push the results of their assessments forward toward concrete case planning and more effective supervision practices. These products help managers and staff maximize the utility of assessment across the full continuum of decision points and case work activities for individuals involved in the justice system, including intake and re-entry planning applications in custodial and detention facilities, community supervision (e.g., probation, diversion) and a range of aftercare settings (e.g., parole, halfway residence). Orbisí training efforts, coupled with their assessment and case planning software, have helped staff conduct and use assessment more effectively at every stage in the process of supervising justice-involved youth and adults.
